CHOOSING FORCEFIELD PAINT SHIELD AS YOUR PPF INSTALLER:
| |
The most important choice you make after deciding to install PPF on your vehicle is the choice of Installer. You can probably find several to choose from, but just as in other industries, we are not all the same and we do not all offer the same product, nor the same quality install.
When you are shopping for PPF you may find someone who quotes you a cheaper price. Please be certain you are "comparing apples to apples". Some things to consider are:
Racecar protected by PPF. | |
Do they hand-cut a large sheet of film with a razor blade on your car?
At Forcefield, we use a plotter to cut computer-designed kits specifically for your car year, make and model for the best possible fit. This means the kit will be symmetrical and will accurately fit your car.
We do not hand-cut film on your car with a razor blade as some installers do. Be advised there is a real chance they will cut through your paint – no matter how good they say they are!
Do they offer a written warranty? What are the terms? |
We offer a written 7-year warranty. Plus you have Kevin’s reputation for customer service backing it up! (See our Testimonials Page.) |
Do they offer you a choice of coverage to suit your needs and wallet?
We have access to a tremendous selection of kits providing a variety of choices for standard, extended and full coverage options. Just ask! |
Is the bumper kit done on a single piece of film or does he cut many smaller pieces for an easier installation, but therefore more lines and seams? |
We have seen many instances where a previous installer has taken the shortcut of applying several small pieces of film to the bumper (because it’s easier), rather than using a single large piece. This process leaves many seams across the bumper. |
Do they work with your schedule? |
For our customers' convenience, we offer appointments 7 days a week. Vehicles can even be dropped off and picked up during the evening hours. |
These days many dealerships offer Paint Protection Film as an "add on" to their new car customers. While this may sound tempting because the cost can be "rolled into" the new car financing, please be aware that this may not be the best idea from the standpoint of a quality install.
If you are considering purchasing PPF from your dealership, please be sure to ask them the following: |
Who does the dealership have install the film – a paint protection film specialist or
their window tint guy?
Does the dealership do the install in a clean environment away from pollen, dust
and wind or in the body shop area?
Does the installer get to use the brand of film he feels is best, or does he have to
use whatever the dealership "got a good deal" on?
Consider whose business is more likely to suffer if he does a poor quality job – a
dealership or an individual who specializes in only one thing?
Do they offer a variety of coverage choices, or just the smallest amount possible? |
If you do choose to have your dealership handle the installation of PPF on your new vehicle, please have them contact us for a certified professional installation.
We greatly prefer to do installs at our Denton, TX location where we feel we get a better quality and cleaner install. Here, we can control the lighting, temperature, air quality, etc. In an outdoor or open garage situation, anything floating in the air will end up stuck to the adhesive on the back of the film. This can include pet fur, pollen, dust, etc.
However, for your convenience, we do offer a mobile service.

Location must meet certain criteria
*
Be advised that a travel fee may be charged, depending upon distance.
Please keep in mind that installs may take from a few to several hours, depending upon the amount of coverage and the number of kits purchased. |
WE SERVICE THE DFW METROPLEX
AND THE GREATER NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS AREA
AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA. |
INSTALLATION OF KITS PURCHASED ON THE INTERNET: |
Occasionally we are asked to install a kit that a customer has already purchased on the internet. We will do this, however we will not warranty the job. Please keep in mind that all film is not the same and installers prefer to use the film they think is best and that they are familiar with. You are much better off purchasing the film from the person doing your install.
